晴朗的一天，米妮正用平底锅烹饪好吃的煎蛋和熏肉，诱人的香气飘出，令在一旁饿肚子的普鲁托口水直流。米妮看看自己的爱犬，打算将烹饪剩下的油脂给普鲁托解馋。谁知这时电台响起宣传广告，主持人要求家庭主妇不要随便丢弃油脂，因为油脂可以用来提炼制造炸弹的甘油。每年被白白丢掉的20亿磅油脂可用来制造100亿个速射的弹壳，或者150000英里长的弹夹，足以围绕地球六圈。谁曾想到，油锅的废油竟有如此重要的用途。想到这一点，连普鲁托也情愿贡献出油脂，迎取战争的胜利。 本片为迪士尼公司在二次世界大战期间被政府徵收后，应相关部门要求拍摄的系列宣传短片之一。
