落語家・立川志の輔の同名新作落語を映画化した人情喜劇。小さな地方都市、みたま町の文化会館に勤める飯塚主任（小林薫）が、大晦日に開催されるママさんコーラスグループのコンサートをダブルブッキングしてしまったことにより起こる騒動をユーモラスに描く。監督は「東京タワー／オカンとボクと、時々、オトン」の松岡錠司。共演は安田成美、伊藤淳史、由紀さおり、浅田美代子ら。
